Background
I have worked at software development for over 40 years, primarily in telecommunications. My formal positions have been as a manager of groups of developers. However, while working on small teams, I also was an individual contributor as well. Most of my recent experience has been developing web based user interfaces for telecommunications systems. This has allowed me to become fluent in technologies including HTML, Javascript, CSS, forms handling, and the server side technologies including PHP and Java frameworks using XML/XSL for dynamic rendering. Most server side code utilized database storage via Oracle, MySQL, or PostGreSQL DBMS. The web technologies have been deployed on Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms.
